Lee Dietz
Lee Dietz, Co-Founder & Principal Agent

lee@dietz-bluett.com

With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Lee Dietz brings a powerful combination of underwriting expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and client-first service to Dietz and Bluett Insurance. Lee began his career as a commercial underwriter for several regional carriers, gaining a deep understanding of risk and coverage from the inside out. He transitioned into agency work and, in 2005, took a leap of faith by launching Dietz and Bluett Insurance from a modest 10×10 office with just one carrier. Soon after, he was joined by his business partner, Dave Bluett, and together they built a thriving, client-focused agency. Today, Lee specializes in insurance programs for restaurants, contractors, and manufacturers, always applying a thoughtful, customized approach.

A graduate of Millersville University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a proud alum of York Suburban High School, Lee is a licensed Property & Casualty and Life & Health agent in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware. His working style is defined by empathy and precision—he crafts every policy as if he were the client, weighing protection, priority, and cost-effectiveness. Lee believes that great problem-solving begins with being a student: he listens, researches, and learns before acting. He also fosters a collaborative work environment where diverse perspectives lead to smarter solutions and team growth.

Outside the office, Lee is a devoted family man who finds his greatest joy in the happiness and success of his wife and children. An avid traveler, he’s explored much of the U.S. and beyond. He’s also deeply passionate about golf—particularly vintage course design—along with tennis and fly fishing. A former competitive tennis player with experience on the satellite tour, Lee now finds a new challenge and thrill in the art of fly fishing, introduced to him by his brother John. When not outdoors, you’ll likely find him building something by hand, from decks and walls to raised beds and even an outdoor kitchen he proudly designed and uses often.

Lee’s favorite movie is Thor: Ragnarök, a nod to his lifelong love of comic books and the shared joy of watching superhero films with his kids.

He lives by the mantra, “A rising tide lifts all boats,” (John F. Kennedy) a belief that guides his approach to leadership, business, and life.
